Walk, run, bike, hike, paddle, stretch, pose or play... we have some many ways to keep your body moving when you are staying with us here at Lanier Islands. Enjoy miles trails that line our shores and streets. Get a Sunday morning stretch at our outdoor yoga experience. Rent a paddle board for some on-water exercise, or swim some laps in our heated pool. New for fall... Pickleball! We just finished construction on 6 pickleball courts for our overnight guests to enjoy. Join in on the fun and fitness at Lanier Islands. 

Hiking and Walking Trails

Whether you are here on business or here for pleasure, our Lake Lanier hiking trails will provide a beautiful backdrop for your daily run, walk, or stroll. Enjoy gentle lake breezes, oversized paved walkways, and some friendly visits from various wildlife that call Lanier Islands home.

Legacy Lite Path

Nothing starts the morning off better than an invigorating nature hike. This 1.4-mile walk around the grounds of Legacy Lodge has varying terrains across gentle rolling elevations. Start at the Legacy Lodge South Lot.

Cardio First Walk

If you want to get your heart pumping, take the Cardio First Walk from Legacy Lodge down Legacy Lane and around the Clock Tower Roundabout. This beautiful 1.2-mile paved walkway provides gentle elevations to achieve a quick cardio burst with sure footing through Lanier Islands scenic surroundings. Start at the Legacy Lodge South Lot.

Legacy Limits

Legacy Limits offers the hiking buff a 1.6 mile trek around the tip of Legacy Islands. This is a natural trail formed by deer and other hiking enthusiasts; it runs along the water's edge, with natural obstacles placed by Mother Nature herself. This trail begins and ends at Legacy Pointe.

LakeHouse Power Path

For guests staying at any of the LakeHouses at Legacy, the LakeHouse Power Path offers a quick, paved 1-mile nature run just outside your accommodations. Ignite your wanderlust and get your blood pumping during your stay by stepping outside your front door. Circle the loop, fly past Grand Hall, and make a fast sprint back to your home away from home.

The Lanier Trail

The longest of our trails, The Lanier Trail offers 2.9 miles of paved sidewalks with gorgeous views and varying elevations. This trail starts at the Team Building Center and ends at the RV Resort Welcome Center.
