Our All-Star Culinary Cast has been assembled from all over the United States and overseas here at Lanier Islands in order to provide a global assortment of offerings, techniques and approaches to cuisine. They are constantly working to keep our Resort-wide menus exciting and new.

Michael Klein

Chef Klein brings more than 25 years of extensive culinary experience to the kitchens of Lanier Islands. Not only has he wowed guests with his gastronomic gifts at fine hotels in Virginia and Georgia for a quarter of a century, but Chef Klein has also served as Executive Chef at the highly respected Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Atlanta as well as National Associate Education Manager for Le Cordon Bleu Schools of North America.


Whitney Okula

With degrees in the Culinary Arts and Pastry & Baking Arts from the highly revered Johnson and Wales University, Okula is the creative cog in the Lanier Islands' culinary wheel. Shortly after joining the team, she quickly carved out her own niche as the overseer of cold foods for banquets of all sizes with her special gift for small details and eye-catching presentation. Okula was promoted to Executive Sous Chef in June of 2014.
